The Colon Stars Super Inflatable Colon is an interactive educational tool with the message that colorectal cancer is preventable, treatable and beatable! Visitors to the exhibit can get an up-close look at and visit resources booths:
• Healthy colon tissue
• Tissue with non-malignant colorectal disease like Crohn’s and colitis
• Colorectal polyps and other anomalies
• Various stages of colorectal pre-cancer and cancer stages
• Visit resource booths and apply for health care benefits
• Try a healthy snack and participate in kids’ activities
Walk through this giant colon and experience the message of cancer prevention and early detection. Visitors will also learn about the importance of colorectal screening, prevention tips, and risks for developing colorectal cancer, symptoms and treatment options. This is a co-partenrship to engage the public, bring awareness, and sign up for screenigns, health care benefits and get connected to health and social services in our community.
